Religious bigotry is worse virus than Covid-19 in Turkey

Turkey has become a country where you would be detained and prosecuted for a simple caricature on your twitter post. This particular caricature is actually a great example of reflecting one's freedom of expression on religious bigotry portrayed as a virus infecting the brains.  Posting this on your social media is enough of a crime in Turkey to be tried for facing up to 3 years in jail time. State prosecutors from more than one province, appealed to the courts for charging the poster on the basis of insulting religious Islamic values of the public and creating animosity in the society, which is considered to be a terrorist act. The courts accepted the prosecutors' appeal and opened the trial against the person sharing this post. He is not the only one, there are thousands of people in Turkey, tried, charged and faced punishment for alleged crimes that are much much softer than this (as if this is ever a crime in a civilized world). You can not take part in any protests against Erdogan's government. If you object to Erdogan or his cronies, his paid mouthpieces portray you as a traitor, and unpatriotic on their slimy newspaper columns, and mafia-sponsored tv screens, and as a final act, his appointed judiciary along with the increasingly heavy handed police force comes to destroy your life by torturing and  subjecting you to the most ridiculous charges at the courts.

In the last five years Turkey consistently surpassed China on the number of jailed journalists. Erdogan  along with his fascist coalition party leader Bahceli are replacing elected municipalities in South Eastern provinces and abdicating elected parliamentarians from their duties. Their combined numbers in the latest polls were in a downward trend tanking around 35% (which is still a lot) and for them to be continuing in their reigning power in the next decade so that they could complete the transformation of once a pseudo secular nation to another Islamic republic in the Middle East, the only way is to topple the Kurdish party with a huge 11% electoral power.  They will succeed to abolish the Kurdish party and for the upcoming elections in 2023, they will play into the hands of populist Turkish masses on patriotism and fight against the separatist Kurdish guerrillas. Make no mistake, they will never refrain exercising extreme measures to hold onto power. They have proved that in the latest staged travesty in the supposed-putsch attempt of July 15 which they have comfortably used it to their advantage (planned) to quash any opposing democratic institutions,  jailed tens of thousands including  opposition from secular circles, and closed the guardians of secularism, the West Point equivalent military colleges and high schools, completely subjugated all power to one man by changing the parliamentary system to a one man dictatorship.
