What is it you want ?

What is it you want ?

What is it that we all want from life ? The life which we all know is guaranteed to end. Death for all of us is unavoidable. We are inching our way to the finality every day, since the day we are born. The human dilemma is how to cope with it and for better or worse we have no idea when it will end either. We strive to have better life quality, to make ahead, to step over others in the competitive structure that we are to live in. But for what ? Only to say to the others that you had the most expensive car, had the most luxurious home, had the most beautiful partner or naively, on the contrast, that you had the happiest life, with someone you loved, was a good citizen, raised good kids that you knew they would also be destined to die. Regardless, you die, and whether you lived a life that is decent or awful, which no one can tell for sure as it is highly speculative and relative, is meaningless. If you can not explain why we reproduce only to die eventually, then there is no absolute right or wrong. We are obliged to be born, consume, and die. The eventuality makes existence an obsolete reality.

Some found refuge believing in a fictitious world after life. Men wrote books to explain the rules of engagement so that the souls would live after death where bodily desires were satisfied. However,  by definition, souls should never need material desires. They also articulated right and wrong as they saw fit and with a lot of variance so that they could rule over people and maintain power, and imposed laws with the reward to live in the glorious after life. There is no sense in making a logical explanation for this, however, masses are still being manipulated by the fake notion of after life by many religions in the world today. This is absolutely not the answer and hence it does not serve any help in resolving the life dilemma that we all are faced.

The solution can not be relative, it can not be time dependent since if it was, it would have advanced to the eventuality with no resolution. We are beaten by time. Yes, we transform from one form to another. It is true that we are made by the combination of many factors coming together. In a broader sense, we all need sun light and hence we can say that we have commonality with living and non-living at many levels. However, explanation of the life's aim is not possible in the same form, as it is guaranteed to transform into another form due to eventuality.

Therefore, the solution whatever it is should have no time component in it. Thats when the concept of "now" comes into the picture as it has no past or future. Now is the all joy we have in our meaningless lives in the long run. If you feel in love now, thats priceless. Try to feel it in its fullest. If you feel the joy that you think is very different and intense, smell the scent what no-one ever could, taste the deliciousness that is out of this world, it has to happen now, at the moment, since it looses its value, and meaning as it moves into the next time fragment. Those moments never age, time can not degrade its quality since it does not exist. Now is the answer. If we can make "now" moments work in our lives to our advantage, the notion of what is right or wrong would be self-evident to us. We should not confine our feelings thinking of the future or the past. If you love someone, regardless of your finances, or race, or current situation, you should feel it and make it known to the others. That is the value of having the moment with the feeling. Time erodes thoughts. It is definitely not easy, but we can and we should find ways to live the "now", in our lives more often. Only then we will take advantage of life in our moments and only then life will have the meaning that can not be degraded by time.
